Debbie Freedman is a behaviorist and dog trainer with more than 30 years of experience successfully working with puppies and dogs of all ages and skill types. In addition, she has extensive experience with the Neapolitan mastiff and many other giant breeds, as well as experience working with deaf dogs and puppies. Debbie has worked extensively training dogs, horses, as a riding instructor, and as a Professional Kennel Huntsman for a foxhunt.
Christened "Dr. Dolittle" by her family, Debbie experienced success as a behaviorist while still in elementary school when she and a friend worked for weeks to establish a bond with two "aggressive" German Shepherds on their way home from school.
Since then, she has worked as a trainer and behaviorist with many frustrated owners and dogs ranging from growing puppies to seniors to bring out the best version of each. Using primarily relationship-based training, Debbie teaches owners the skills to earn their dogs' respect and confidence through small group classes, agility runs, and behavioral modification.
Debbie also passionately contributes to dog rescue efforts. Having previously served on the Board of Directors of a national mastiff rescue, she currently volunteers and transports for Normans Place Animal Rescue and Sanctuary of New Hampshire as well as others. She and her husband live in Massachusetts with their two Neapolitan Mastiffs Bubba Ray and Tawny Marie.
